Annual Report to Governor.

Authorized in February 2000, the State Advisory Council on Hunger organized in November 2001 (Executive Order 01.01.2000.06). The Council is to review and analyze what resources are available to meet the needs of hungry Marylanders statewide, and whether those resources are adequate. To improve access to healthy food and ensure a hunger safety net, the Council will make program, policy and budget recommendations to State agencies. The Council also will work to educate the public, government agencies, and elected officials about hunger issues.
