In April 2005, the Senate President and House Speaker formed the Agricultural Stewardship Commission. The Commission will hold a series of town meetings to hear public commentary on issues relating to farming practices, particularly farm wastes, and the health of the Chesapeake Bay. Based on the outcomes of the town meetings, the Commission will draft legislation for the 2006 legislative session.
